Dr. Fredrick Cheng was born and raised in San Leandro, California, where he developed a lifelong love for sports—basketball, frisbee, and swimming among his early favorites. He went on to attend Bates College in Maine, earning a Bachelor of Science degree while majoring in Chinese. After graduating, Dr. Cheng returned to the Bay Area to pursue his chiropractic education at Palmer College of Chiropractic West, where he graduated with Pi Tau Delta honors. During his time at Palmer, he continued to nurture his passion for athletics by joining the school’s sports council program. When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Cheng stays active through hiking, surfing, weight lifting, and playing basketball. He is thrilled to partner with his wife, Dr. Fong, to serve the Oakland community. Drawing from his personal athletic background and ongoing continuing education, he looks forward to sharing his knowledge and helping patients feel and perform their best.
